Replacement bathroom

The brief here was to replace an existing bathroom on a small budget. This bathroom was supplied and fitted by Reuben to the clients specifications. All pipework that was on show in the previous bathroom was hidden in order to give clean lines and a good finish.

The brief here was to create a light and airy kitchen in a seaside house. The blue and white theme reflected the sea itself. All electrical, plumbing and plastering was done by Reuben.

‘Reuben installed both my new kitchen and my new bathroom. I am just thrilled with both rooms. His attention to detail and craftsmanship is admirable. He is reliable and consistently came each day until the job was finished. His attitude is that he wants his customers to be happy with what he does and as he has so many skills, he did the whole job himself saving having to have multiple tradesmen coming and going. I would thoroughly recommend Reuben to anyone who wants a quality job. ‘

Mahogany occasional tables

This elegant pair of tables was made from reclaimed mahogany that originally came from the client’s old drop leaf dining table. For sentimental reasons, she wanted to keep the table in some form, and asked Reuben to create these side tables from the wood. They were finished with French polish. The brief was to complement some Victorian chairs she had.

‘The project was completed to a very high standard. Reuben’s involvement with the design was excellent and reflects his Fine Art training. The work was completed to an agreed schedule. For a bespoke commission I strongly recommend Reuben for the task. Flair, quality and value are there in abundance.’

Solid Oak Built in book shelves

A beautiful pair of solid oak bookshelves. These pieces of bespoke furniture where made with adjustable shelves and finished in a water based hardwearing varnish.  They were fitted into the alcoves either side of the front room’s chimney breast.

The property was a 1920’s built house that had recently been refurbished. The brief was to design bookshelves to fit in with the contemporary décor and complement the history of the building.

A solid tiger oak wardrobe

This wardrobe has some interesting restrictions to overcome in its design. Firstly it needed to be dismantle-able as the staircase was too narrow to get access in one piece and secondly the room was too small to allow hinged doors. The solution was sliding doors. There is a built-in shoe rack in the bottom of the wardrobe. The panel proportions in the doors where designed to complement already existing shutters in the bedroom.

Bespoke fitted solid walnut cabinets

The client put forward a brief for some ’beautiful’ solid hardwood cabinets to fit into the alcoves in his front  and rear rooms. On one side he wanted some shelves and the other a large cabinet to store his extensive CD collection. In the living room he required fitted furniture to house his stereo system and books. This was achieved by making a dresser style piece to be fitted into the larger alcove and a set of shelves into the smaller of the two.

‘Reuben delivered exactly what I was after. He was on time, cleared up afterwards and obviously cares deeply about his work. I have already commissioned more work from him and have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who demands quality work.’
